Healthy and Easy Dinner Recipes – 2 Ingredient Pizza Dough Recipe

 

 

 

When it comes to healthy and easy dinner recipes, pizza does not immediately jump to mind. Making the dough alone seems way to intimidating to tackle, and I have never had much luck with the frozen or pre-made store bought kind. So pizza has always been a delivery treat for me… that is, until I discovered this 2 ingredient pizza dough recipe. Not only do the 2 ingredients (self rising flour and Greek yogurt) yield a delicious dough with a satisfying crunch and a soft center, it also comes together in just 10 minutes. Then you can choose your own healthy, fresh vegetable toppings, blast in a hot oven, and dig in. I published this recipe on Impatient Foodie almost two years ago, and it is has consistently been the most popular on my site. People still tag me in their Insta photos with their 2 Ingredient pizza dough creations, and I always get rave reviews on this recipe when I cook it for people at home. 2 Ingredient Pizza Dough Recipe:

1. Preheat your oven to 450F degrees.

2. Combine equal parts self rising flour and greek yogurt (get full instructions and measurements on Impatient Foodie!) and knead the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface. Allow to rest 5-10 minutes.

3. Meanwhile, add 2 Tablespoons of olive oil to a small to medium sized skillet and sautee 2 cloves of garlic until fragrant, about 2 minutes. Add 1 cup Pomi with a pinch of salt to make your own super fast homemade pizza sauce. Allow to cook over medium-high heat for about 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.

4. Press dough into a greased cast iron skillet or oven safe pan. Brush with olive oil and then spoon and spread Pomi on top. Add shredded mozzarella and parmesan.

5. Bake for about 12-15 minutes until crust is golden brown. Cover with roughly torn basil leaves as a garnish. Dig in.
