Just because Sex and the City 3 never made it to theaters doesn’t mean we can’t speculate about how things would have progressed for our favorite characters.
In a podcast interview last week between James Andrew Miller and three of the foursome that starred in the show, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon, as well as director Michael Patrick King, it was revealed that there were plans to
A source close to the project shared with E! that the main plot line for Samantha’s character would have revolved around Miranda and Steve’s 14-year-old son Brady. It was planned that early in the film the teen would get caught masturbating, later sending “d**k pics” of his erect penis to Samantha!!
But that’s not the whole reason why she wasn’t interested in the project as it apparently has something to do with money, too:
“Kim never wanted to really do the movie to begin with. It was a combination of not great money and a bad storyline for Samantha.”
The podcast host also shared in the interview that her not wanting to return to the classic series had something to do with killing off Mr. Big:
“People close to Kim believe that the script didn’t have a lot to offer the character of Samantha… They point to the fact that it calls for Mr. Big to die of a heart attack in the shower, relatively early on in the film, making the remainder of the movie more about how Carrie recovers from Big’s death than about the relationship between the four women.”
That’s a major yikes!!
